Dude, Where Are My Keys?

Well, I have another week’s worth of DahlCasting under my belt, and I’m heading down to the keys to take a vacation from my FL vacation. Actually I’m going to have dinner with some friends from Chicago on Islamorada. They are Blackhawks fans who that I met at the Seabrook bowling tournament. It’s a two-hour drive from where I’m at so, I’ll probably try and get started before the Friday afternoon traffic here in SoFlo. My dad wants to talk about podcasting something or other at his church, so I’ll bring my headset and that should help me pass the time. I guess you might call my dad’s endeavor a GodCast. I’m happy to help, but he might to get someone local to really get the thing implemented. He’s in SoCal, if anybody knows anybody.

Pat Boyle (Peanut Butter) is coming down next week for the Super Bowl. We are planning on getting a limo and taking our shirts off for unattractive girls, so we’ll be doing it up right. Pat is staying at the same hotel that Garry Meier and I stayed at the night the Bears lost to the Dolphins in 1985, ruining their perfect season. You might have heard me mention that Ditka blamed the loss on me in his book because I was talking with players on the field prior to the game via Les Grobstein’s cell phone. He doesn’t mention me by name in the book, but he mentions the incident. I suppose I’m glad he doesn’t know that it was specifically me who caused the commotion. I would imagine he would have named names if he really knew. I know coach, but not that well, and I’d like to keep it that way.

I remember watching that

I remember watching that game. The Bears went in with a game plan and, when it wasn't working, the coaches never really made the right adjustments. But Coach thinks it was you talking to some of the players on a cell phone that caused them to lose? Steve, you is some kind of powerful!

Stever, I actually saw Gary

Stever,
I actually saw Gary Fencik at the old Hunt Club location (pickup joint somewhere in Lincoln Park) the Friday nite before the Monday night game in 1985.  He had a babe on each arm at the bar. I walked over and told him to make the Dolphins receivers hurt on Monday Night.  He just smiled and kindof waved me off.  Then the Miami receivers lit up the secondary a couple nites later.  Some weird lucky bounces off helmuts, etc.

How about getting the Grobber on your podcast 1 day?  He has always been a fan of yours.

Hey Steve, As for "The Coach"

Hey Steve,

As for "The Coach" - he will forever be "Ditka-head" to me. During the superbowl season you saw players on TV and heard them on the radio all the time - it was cool. Then, I remember Ditka-head got all P.O.'d that the players were getting distracted and basically banned them from commercials. And of course, whose ugly mug took their place? HIS! I got so sick and tired of seeing him on TV.

Anyway - the Snookie song is awesome, you are unrivalled in the song-parody category.
