But first, here’s a list of frequently asked questions, which may help you find your way. Otherwise, drop us a line…really, we don’t mind.
Q: – I’ve subscribed to the Network…now, how do I listen to the podcasts?
A: – Here is a quick list of the easiest and most recommended ways network subscribers can quickly and easily begin listening to the network podcasts:
- Listen to shows at http://www.dahl.com, where you will find the most recent shows and access to past episodes. Subscribers must enter User Name and Password to get player to begin playback.
- Download shows to iTunes on your computer (see instructions below)
- Listen to shows on your smartphone, MP3 device, iPad, etc. using the Steve Dahl Network apps (see instructions below)

A: – Subscribers to the network can download and use the free network app to the iPhone/iPad/iTouch HERE. Or searching for The Steve Dahl Network in the Apple App store or iTunes store.
Q: – How do I download the network Android app?
A: – Subscribers to the network can download and use the free network app to your Android device HERE.
Q: I have downloaded the app, but am having trouble getting started with downloading shows. How do I adjust the app settings and download shows?
A: Once you have downloaded the network app, either to your iPhone or you can begin to download. In order to download properly in the the network app, we recommend that you do the following in the app settings (you will find the settings on the home page of the app, in the bottom right corner:-”When new episodes are available” — choose “Download All” -”Episodes to Keep” — this is up to you, but we recommend choosing “All episodes” so that you don’t have to re-download shows that you haven’t listened to yet. All shows can always be accessed and re-downloaded, even when deleted from the app. -”Auto-Download” – choose “Wifi & Cellular” — this is the most important setting. Please note that if you do not have unlimited data from your cell company you may not want to allow downloads via cellular, but this setting choice will assure that you can download anywhere, whether on wifi or not. Show download speeds depend on your internet connection. When on wifi shows will download much quicker than via cellular. These 3 settings will help with downloads, but please scroll through all setting choices to customize the app to your liking. Once you have your settings in order, then go back to the home screen, click on “The Steve Dahl Network” button at the top (where is says ” tap here to listen”) then when you are on the show list screen hit the green “download” button next to the shows you would like to download, or if you have chosen to do so, they will begin to download automatically. You can check the progress of any download by going back to the home screen and clicking on “downloads” in the bottom, center of the screen. If a show downloads successfully it will disappear from this screen. You can then go back to the home screen, back to the show list and click on any show that is downloaded (will now have a red “delete” button next to those shows”) and you are all set.
Q:- How do I begin downloading shows via iTunes (ALL VERSIONS EARLIER THAN 11.0)s on a computer?
A:- Follow these easy instructions to begin downloading shows directly to iTunes on your computer:1. Open iTunes 2. Click on Podcasts in the list on the left of the screen 3. Click on Advanced, then choose “Subscribe to Podcast” in drop down menu 4. Copy and paste this URL into the next screen (http://spod.dahl.com/rss) 5. Once you’ve entered this URL and hit enter, you will be sent back to the podcasts page where you will need to hit subscribe again in the lower left corner of the screen. 6. After you have subscribed and the page refreshes, you will get the pop up window that will ask for your dahl.com user name and password (the same one you use to log in on the website and listen to the podcasts each day after they are recorded and published) 7. After you enter this info, then your page will refresh and begin loading all of the podcasts available. To download all of them will take some time, but you can go through and individually turn off the downloads you don’t need or want for now and just let it run the ones you do or let it go for a while, it’s up to you. 8. Each day, after podcasts have been posted (The Steve Dahl Show will always post first) you can hit refresh on the podcast page in iTunes and you should get the shows to download automatically, without reentering your user name and password.
Q:- How do I begin downloading shows via iTunes (VERSIONS 11.0 and newer) on a computer?
A:- Follow these easy instructions to begin downloading shows directly to iTunes on your computer:1. Open iTunes 2. Click on “View” and then choose “Show Sidebar” which will get you the traditional iTunes screen to view and navigate 3. Click on Podcasts in the list on the left of the screen in the sidebar. 4. Click on File, then Subscribe to Podcast 5. Copy and paste this URL into the next screen (http://spod.dahl.com/rss) 6. After you have subscribed and the page refreshes, you will get the pop up window that will ask for your dahl.com user name and password (the same one you use to log in on the website and listen to the podcasts each day after they are recorded and published) 7. Go to “Settings” in the bottom left corner and make sure to choose the following: **These are our recommendations to best receive/download podcasts daily** 9. At this point, please choose “List” view at the top middle of the Podcast screen so that you can see all available episodes and if they are downloaded. 8. For any shows that have not downloaded, please click the down arrow next to that show title and date and you will begin downloading that particular episode.
Q:-I have an iPhone/iTouch/iPad. Can I listen to the podcasts via Apple’s “Podcast” app?A:-At this time, Apple’s Podcast app only supports free podcasts. To listen to podcasts from our network on your Apple device please follow the appropriate directions above.
Q:- How do I change my password, update my credit card info etc?
A:- Login to the member account page – Click Here
Q:- How do I change my subscription plan?
A:- YES… here’s how: Log into the Account Mg (Click Here)
Click on the My Subscription Tab at the top of the member page, after logging in using your network user ID and password
Then, Go to “My Subscriptions” and click on the orange “Change Subscription Plan” link on the far right side of the screen.
Choose the plan that you would like to activate and your profile and user information will be updated.
Q: How do I purchase a gift subscription for a friend?
