2:00 Steve heard Matt and Brendan get kicked out of the tent with the open bar. Isn't Drew there to make sure they can go wherever they want? He just got there, just in time as Matt's show is ending.
2:01 It was someone from Spin Magazine who saw them in the tent talking to two girls so he must have gotten territorial and then kicked them out. He claimed he didn't know they were on the radio. Steve thinks Drew should set him straight, especially since they have to be back later.
2:03 Matt and Brendan seem to be having fun there. They talked to the front man from Polyphonic Spree. Steve doesn't see how the band makes any money with that many people on stage. Especially when these days bands make most of their money from touring.
2:04 Polyphonic Spree is one of Matt's favorite bands, although he'll never say that. Its weird for Steve to listen to Matt because its like listening to himself when he was younger. Steve thinks he sounds different of course but still like him, he would still like to represent Matt and will do such a great job they'll want to give him 50%.
2:06 As future clients of Steve's he would like to go down there right now and talk to that guy who kicked them out. Matt is surprised Brendan kept his cool as much as he did, usually he's more quick tempered. Steve thinks they should get his name, then they can keep saying it over and over. See...there is his 60%.
2:08 Matt and Brendan are going to check out some bands during their 5 hour break. Brendan isn't a huge Polyphonic Spree follower but a fan of people in rooms so he wants to go to that stage. Just like his nap the other day, he is drawn to the robes.
2:09 Aside from the diesel generators everywhere at Lollapalooza, its a "green event". Matt noticed the biodegradable cups. Matt saw Perry Farrell and was creeped out when they made eye contact, he's a rather effeminate guy. Steve doesn't think this will help Matt get an interview with him.
2:11 Steve had to rework his route in today due to Lollapalooza. He used his secret route.
2:12 Has Mike Dahl been hanging out there all day? He did take off from work today but he seemed to have slept in. Jim Kid is there, Pete just got there..he didn't want to leave. Steve felt like he was sending Pete off to college and Pete didn't want to go.
2:13 Matt wants to see a band that he heard plays in rubber horse masks. Steve would like to see that too because not only will they perform but they'll die because its so hot out.
2:14 Jill told Steve the tent was fully catered and there were massage tables but that isn't the tent they are in now. There is some free granola though. Just what you need, some roughage, with all the Port-A-Potties.
2:15 All Steve needs in there is the funnel and the whole time he keeps telling himself not to look around. We have a full Steve Dahl Show today and Pete and Jim will be checking in from there. Everything is fine, everyone here has been reassigned. Pete sounds so excited to be there, he is freaking out a bit. Apparently that music lover guy is for his apartment only.
2:17 Steve has told Matt to pace himself all week and then he has Sunday. Matt followed his advice and it worked out well.
2:24 Song: Missed the Boat, Modest Mouse
2:29 Buzz is one of Modest Mouse's biggest fans. Pete had a good opening with David Letterman announcing most of the Lollapalooza bands.
2:30 Steve needs to rewind the TV because he just saw the weirdest thing he thinks he's ever seen. Its a dude with a ponytail and behind him is a scantily-clad girl belly dancing and behind the both of them is a background of the ocean. Just like in Buzz's bedroom except for the ponytail rock dude.
2:31 It seems to be an ad for a car place. It does make Steve want to get one, whatever it is, he thinks that's from the belly dancing. Its gotta be a relative that pitches that and the girl kicked off the thought process. It seems to have revolved around the girl and the fact that they don't want to pay royalty fees or someone to write a jingle. Steve and Buzz want to watch it again. Its for Freedom Auto Depot. It seems to be right in Buzz's Shakira wheelhouse and for cable access, the belly dancer will do.
2:34 Steve didn't mean to point out her belly in a bad way but it caught his attention. He has never seen that commercial before and he watches a lot of CLTV. Kudos to Freedom Auto Depot on the spot, Steve feels he'll find out the backstory on it but don't tell anyone about the stomach comment. He will handle that. Buzz is upset with Steve for the comment, it was inappropriate and that girl was hot. Buzz just thinks there was a wardrobe problem.
2:36 Steve wasn't wrong with the comment then. She just could've looked even better.
2:37 We do have Pete and Jim Kid at Lollapalooza, part of Steve doesn't want to go to them just to be mean. Pete really did not want to leave, he showed Mary everything in his studio even though he didn't want to. He even showed her how to mess with Steve when things are really going well.
2:38 Buzz did get excited earlier while thinking about the day and that they will be talking to Pete and Jim at Lollapalooza. Jim says there is a whole lot of nothing going on. Just what Buzz was looking to hear.
2:43 Live read: U.S. Army
2:45 Steve is checking in with the boys and Pete is just laughing. It's like his afternoon zoo, he is extremely nervous. Actually, its great out there, Jim already checked out a few bands. Steve wants to know how long it took Pete to do the show intro. It didn't take too long, just a couple hours, but it was ok because he's never done anything like that before.
2:46 Jack's Mannequin is playing right now. They sound pretty good, like "poppy" bands they both enjoy. Steve wants to listen to them for a few seconds but as soon as he does that, they stop playing. Pete has information on the lead singer's health so Steve won't make fun of him. He just thinks they all sort of sound like Rush.
2:48 Steve is getting disoriented by Pete and Jim but we can go back to them if Buzz wants to. Steve doesn't want to hear anymore about Jack's brush with leukemia from Pete. Pete picked up a program so that's where all of his background information is coming from. They are actually about a football field away from Pete and Jim but sound like they are right there with them.
2:50 Jim DeRogatis is to the left of them. He had a little fit earlier. Steve can't talk to them with the music so loud. Don't they have a break? Jack's Mannequin is done at 3:30. Ok, Steve will talk to them again at 3:30 then.
2:54 Steve and Buzz are in the studio because they didn't want to go to Lollapalooza. Buzz hates leaving the studio just like Pete. Jim is seeing a lot of cool artist walk by. He is assuming that's what they are because they are wearing a lot of inappropriate clothing for the weather. Pete and Jim aren't wearing their normally tight attire because they want to keep cool. Pete went with a gray shirt which wasn't a wise choice for a person who sweats.
2:56 Pete actually brought a bag there with his fruit. Steve thinks that is crazy, he couldn't just eat the fruit they offer there? Steve knows structured, Pete is beyond that. Pete had Raisin Bran Crunch this morning with skim milk, 2% upsets his tummy, not the raisins and the bran? He's also had about two cups of coffee and some water.
2:57 Drew isn't around because he said he is a big Polyphonic Spree fan. Steve is confused as to where the main stage is there. He isn't in to music like Pete and Jim, Pete is inappropriately into it for a 45 year old. He's actually 36. Steve just thinks it seems disrespectful to the bands to have a bunch playing at the same time.
2:59 Jim explains that they have them really spread out now so its not a problem. The issues are with choosing between 2 bands you like and making your way to the stages and missing the first 15 minutes of one or the last of the other.
3:01 Steve wants to hear about Jim DeRogatis but wants to make sure that there aren't speakers around so everyone can hear them. Jim thinks he was just mad because he didn't have something he needed. Was it food? Stridex pads for his acne? Steve thinks he should be set up with the girl from the bridge yesterday.
3:02 Pete was surprised to see him smoking and wearing "jorts". Those are jean shorts that your air conditioning repair guy would wear.
3:04 There isn't too much around Pete and Jim. There's a few banners, that's Jill, she loves the banners. The Q101 tent is pretty much overkill, lots of couches and signs. Our tent is more tastefully done. Is their desk made out of boxes like packages? There's actually a table with a black tablecloth.
3:08 There's really no way to turn that music down? Can't they face a different direction? Pete should take his fruit out of one of the bags, put it over his head and then put the microphone in there. The bag is a Peapod bag and its a little big for 3 pieces of fruit. Pete was thinking of ditching the bag, Steve knows he is lying. First of all, that's not green, also that bag has been around since 2004.
3:11 Steve doesn't really want to get this far into Pete's life. Its getting depressing. Pete is ok, he's still holding out with the fruit. He's not really that hungry yet.
3:12 A new promotions guy is in the tent with them. His name is Alan, Steve doesn't know him, what kind of a promotions guy doesn't introduce himself to Steve?
3:13 Steve wants to know where the cute promotions interns are. Jim thinks they are out handing out keychains, at a music fest, to get people to listen to talk radio. Steve just realized why him and Buzz aren't there.
3:19 Steve saw them setting up for Lollapalooza the other day. He doesn't think they are as green as they say. Why don't they bring a generator into Pete and Jim's tent and we'll see how long they last with that? There really is nothing neutral about it.
3:21 Pete asked the new promotions guy about his gig. He used to work for CBS in Dallas and moved here, now he does work for us, he isn't just an intern.
3:23 Since Steve has been talking about Pete's fruit. Now Pete wants his peach. What will he do with his pit? Keep it in his mouth for a couple of hours like Steve does? It sounds like Jack's Mannequin is getting into some weird stuff there. They actually just said its their final song. Steve bets is a hard 3:30 end for them. He thinks as neutral as they are, they are probably pretty strict about the times.
3:25 Pete is saying that to play Lollapalooza, you can't play in Chicago 60 days before or 30 days after. That's why Buzz and Steve can't be there, they have their Dahlfins shows.
3:26 Live read: U.S. Army
3:27 Steve saw Sherman Kaplan in the hall again today. They are definitely this close to their lunch date. Sherman doesn't editorialize too much but their guests seemed to think the Dow dropping seems to be ending. Buzz doesn't think Steve should have Sherman on the air, he thinks lunch is where all the tips come out. Then Steve can pass them all off to Buzz.
3:29 Steve impressed himself by learning his Charles Schwab log in. That's a lot of numbers and spaces to remember. Steve reads more about Sherman Kaplan and his early years.
3:31 Sherman worked in sales for IBM. He tired of radio after two years right after college. That's all Steve can answer, Buzz has a lot of questions about Sherman's journey. Steve thinks he probably got tired of being jerked around but WBBM has to take "jerked around" out of the bio.
3:36 Steve does a pretty good Eddie Vedder impression. Eddie was here before with Pete Townsend, remember when Pete Townsend got all mad at Steve? Dave McBride annoyed him before the interview by having him sign a bunch of stuff.
3:38 Pete is enjoying his peach as we speak. Pete molested Steve at the Pearl Room Dahlfins show. The problem for Pete is the shows usually coincide with a Cubs game so by the time the show has ended, he has been drinking for almost 12 hours. Steve didn't really mind the touching.
3:40 We can't announce the next show's location yet because we don't want to confuse people. They might show up at Lollapalooza looking for the Dahlfins. The next show is the day of a Cubs game, so Pete is going to have the same issue next time.
3:41 Pete normally loves the musicians but he's not as impressed with them at Lollapalooza as he is with Steve. There is an engineer in there talking to another engineer. Those two knuckleheads are there? No wonder its so loud. They probably have a microphone right on the stage. Ed, one of the engineers, is the guy you always see sleeping on the table at the Bulls games.
3:44 What time is Jack coming over from Jack's Mannequin? Steve doesn't really want to talk to anyone, neither does Buzz but he does want to hear Pete talk to them. Pete doesn't really recognize anybody but random people from Metromix on CLTV.
3:45 The artists should wear "hello my name is" badges. Why don't they just talk to everyone who is wearing an "artist" bracelet? Then we can play a game trying to figure out who's who. Buzz doesn't think they should limit themselves to artists, there's probably lots of wacky people wandering around there.
3:47 Jim saw someone he thought was an artist because of his outfit but it turned out to be someone who works for Channel 2. Are they sure it wasn't Mark Malone? He likes to dress up for concerts for Eric and Kathy.
3:50 Song: The Mixed Tape, Jack's Mannequin
3:56 Pete and Jim just found out Perry Farrell is doing a press conference but we don't have hookup to that. We aren't even sure what its about, maybe being green? Steve thinks maybe Perry will say hot he is in his outfit temperature-wise.
3:58 Don't forget today when you hear the Aloha Friday parody three times today, specially written to recap the week, to call in for passes to the next Beach Party at Papi Chulo's brought to us by Landshark Lager. Steve does enjoy writing them and recapping each week but between the show, the daily blog and thought for the day, does he really need to do that every week as well?
4:00 Papi Chulo's now have a website up that you can get to from a link in Steve's blog. It looks like a nice place, they have a great theme on the website. Steve will have to play that when they broadcast from there. Buzz really does hate to be outside of the studio but he has decided that if he has to go, he might as well have some fun. That has worked for him, he's really had a good time at the parties.
4:03 Steve is looking at pictures on the Papi Chulo's site. There's lots of girls with big boobs so it seems to be a good time. There's one of a girl with some good tank top meat, Buzz doesn't like that expression, its just a variation of "sweater meat" but he doesn't like that either.
4:05 Did that new guy write this liner about the Beach Party? Jim is interviewing him? Does he really need to rephrase Steve's questions?
4:07 Live read: Walter E. Smithe
4:09 Pete and Jim seem to have hit a bit of a lull at Lollapalooza. Isn't it sold out? Oh...they sold out. That's what it meant. Pete is noticing a congregation that might have to do with the press conference. Shouldn't he be discussing this with Jim off the air?
4:11 Does Pete want Steve to break now? He has this penciled in as when he goes to them. He is going to change it to "Pete doesn't know what's going on". Is Pete too tense? He is coming off as so relaxed and chatty on the air.
4:12 Steve thinks they have their headphones turned up too high or something because he keeps hearing himself. They are saying their levels are fine, can't they just humor him? One of them needs to go out there and find someone to interview other than the new promotions guy who just moved here from Dallas.
4:15 We will stay posted on Pete's fruit eating since that's the only thing that's going on there. The fruit did sound delicious though. Why not just put a microphone next to a Port-A-Potty and call it an afternoon? Or send that promotions guy out to find people.
4:16 Steve is really just kidding with them, he didn't expect them to find people to interview and doesn't really want them to anyway. Steve thinks he has scared them now or they're quiet because they feel they're coming up short. He really isn't mad at them. He wants Pete to take a 10 minute walk around.
4:19 They must've thought they were going to be playing tic tac toe with Eddie Vedder or something. Really there are just stages and buses and the artists stay on either to make their 10 or 15 grand.
4:20 Drew, Jill and Adam are all there. Why aren't they bringing people to them? They have offered but Pete and Jim shot down the offers. They could at least put the task on one of them and then we could spend the time bad mouthing them.
4:21 Jim is looking at a Spin Magazine tent where artists go in and then come out with free jeans. Steve is now changing what he said and thinks they are only getting $5000 or even $2500 if they are getting free stuff. Jim and Pete don't want to go in there because that's the tent Matt and Brendan were kicked out of earlier.
4:23 Steve thinks Pete's peach unbalanced his blood pressure, maybe they need to walk around and get a beer or something. We are going to do headlines then we'll come back to them. Mo goes on at 5:30, Mo is a jam band. Do they just play one song for 45 minutes? Jim thinks they are a Bob and Ron favored band. Steve could use a Bob and Ron right now to spice things up.
4:24 Steve thinks its not helping Pete and Jim to be out there with people from the station standing around. He is just looking for a few observations from them. Pete is bringing his own nectarines and peaches and won't even talk about that. Jim is probably afraid to eat in front of Pete and then they both have to get it by Jill.
4:30 Pete and Jim are at Lollapalooza and Pete is pretending to be Steve and Jim is pretending to be Buzz. That's sweet for Buzz because Jim has the sweet black girlfriend. Nothing new is going on with them, there is a guy with a weird sock puppet walking around.
4:32 Headlines with Buzz
4:33 The Cubs lost so that must be what is wrong with Pete and Jim. Now they are on a two game losing streak. Steve is blaming Eddie Vedder, he was there bothering Kerry Wood.
4:34 A caretaker at actor Ving Rhames house is dead. Ving's two dogs attacked him.

4:36

There are severely disgruntled parents of students at Virginia Tech University over a tribute concert planned for the victims of that tragedy. Rapper Nas will be performing and a sample of his music includes "shoot em up..kill kill kill...bang bang bang". Steve thinks he heard profanity in that sample. Buzz is saying absolutely not and is willing to bet a week's salary. Steve will bet him Pete or Jim's weekly salary and they have to pay.
4:38 Caller Rich is calling in with Cubs information. Ryan Dempster gave up all the runs to contribute to the loss, not Kerry Wood. He is loving it though because he is a Sox fan. Steve doesn't have time for that, he is putting his hatred into the White Sox.
4:45 Time for the Comcast SportsNet Sports Report.
4:46 Gail Fischer is on the phone. She is upset about the Cubs loss as well, she plays fantasy baseball and has Dempster. Steve agrees with Lou Piniella, there still is a lot of season left and people shouldn't worry so much about the standings. Gail thinks Lou is a good manager too but wishes he would've put in Wood, they activated him today.
4:47 Steve saw Eddie Vedder at the game earlier. Gail didn't like the way he sang but that's how those rockers sing. Eddie sings it every year, Gail has sung it, Steve hasn't, they won't let him. Its one of those things where he doesn't even know why they hate him but someone there really does. Back in the day, he used to make fun of WGN but that was years ago.
4:50 Coming up later on Comcast Sports Chuck Garfein has a great piece on the Chicago Sting. Steve heard about that, he knows how different it was back in the day. None of the teams were good and they wouldn't ever sell out.
4:51 The Bears have a practice tonight. William Jackson will have a live report from Bourbonnais tonight at 6 and 10. They were the only ones yesterday to have an interview with Chris Harris. They took him right out of practice and told him he was traded. Lovie told him he could be a starter on any team in the league and then sent him off to Carolina.
4:53 Steve doesn't want to hear any White Sox news. Gail has something on Neifi Perez, he tested positive for stimulants and was supposed to come off of his suspension but has tested positive for the third time so now he's suspended for 80 games.
4:56 That Chris Harris thing was pretty mean, but at least he got out of practice. If Steve were Lovie he would be selling the Panther cheerleaders to Chris, they have the hottest cheerleaders. Those are the ones that got in trouble in that bathroom stall.
5:01 A guy said hi to Steve in the elevator earlier and he always feels like he should ask the person their name. Its a little awkward plus he wants to know who to target down the road.
5:02 Live read: Gierczyk
5:04 Steve was looking at the list of unsafe bridges today. First lets see how Pete and Jim are doing. They are fixing the internet in the tent right now. Ron of Bob and Ron are there, he is waiting for Bob to get there before he upstages Pete and Jim. Steve wants it to be known that he is sticking with Pete and Jim and they will be letting him down if they do have anybody.
5:06 Pete was attacked by that sock puppet. That Alan guy asked what it was and that opened up an invitation for him to come over there. Steve is advising them to kick them all out.
5:08 It turns out the sock puppet people work for some cable access show. Pete and Jim found the rung lower than radio and that's cable access and a puppeteer. Pete is selling Steve on this Pancake Mountain show though, maybe he and Buzz can get Season 1 on DVD.
5:10 A former salesperson is there and she caught all of Pete's puppet molestation on camera. Apparently she is working for Bob and Ron. Pete has seen some exciting people walk by, Ted Leo, a political singer songwriter. The Sparklehorse guy came by, Pete actually knows who he is and doesn't think he wears a rubber horse mask.
5:12 Pete was excited to recognize those two people as it has been a cavalcade of people he doesn't know. As it turns out Pete didn't have to bring his own fruit, there is plenty in the tent, plums, tangelos, whatever he wants.
5:15 Live read: Racine Boat Show
5:23 Live read: Taco Bell
5:24 Pete is enjoying a cocktail and reporting that the bathrooms are serviceable. They haven't had to wait in line or anything. Jim is enjoying one as well, actually they are drinking Bud Lites which isn't a cocktail.
5:25 Song: Blue Sky, The Allman Brothers
5:32 Steve is still enjoying the Burrito Supreme. He actually ordered two, he worked out earlier and hasn't eaten anything.
5:38 Steve looked at the list of structurally deficient bridges on the Tribune website this morning. It has since been alphabetized so earlier the one he found alarming was at the top. The bridge on Congress, that goes to the Eisenhower and over the Chicago River, had a rating of 2 out of 100. In addition to alphabetizing the list, they have changed some things so the description has changed but still seems to be the same one.
5:41 He also read about a way worse Upper Wacker bridge. It really seems like they changed the list since he read it this morning but maybe now its more accurate and you really can't get any worse than the 2 rating for what he thinks is the Congress bridge.
5:43 Steve was on Lower Wacker today and freaking out. He was looking around and waiting for it to come down on him.
5:45 Steve feels proud of himself for saying that it was the construction on the bridge in Minnesota. He also checked out the bridges he frequents, he's got a 49 on the First Avenue bridge. He can live with that. The one over the Des Plaines River got a 2 though, he's not going on that one anymore.
5:47 Caller Gary thinks Steve is talking about the right bridge, its very shaky too when you drive on it because of the grates.
5:51 Steve wishes he had saved the list he saw this morning but he really thinks its the same bridge. Pete Hulne is on the phone, we're going to break and then come back to talk to him. He's from the Improv Olympic and also on that American Body Shop show on Comedy Central.
5:56 Caller Randy saw the bridge on the lead story on the news. It is the one Steve was talking about. They said its being repaired right now but the iron workers are afraid to be underneath it and drive on it.
6:00 Back to Pete Hulne, he and Steve performed together a few years ago at the Improv Olympic. Steve remembers how funny Pete was. He is in that group with the janitor from Scrubs and the guy who played the sportscaster in Anchorman, their group is called BeerSharkMice.
6:05 Steve has been trying to tivo the American Body Show show ever since he found he was going to talk to him. He has had trouble getting it to record though, but he thinks the commercials are funny. Its on Sundays at 9:30 on Comedy Central on regular TV. Check your local listings.
6:07 Steve has seen a lot of clips and thinks its really funny. He has made two solid efforts and wouldn't have done that if he didn't think they were funny.
6:10 Live read: Townstone Financial
6:17 Pete and Jim are checking in with their first celebrity interview...Bob and Ron! Steve doesn't want to talk to them, he'll say hi but then they can go away, take the headphones off and step away from the microphones. It'd be sweet to call security on them, they'd be taken in right away.
6:18 G Love and Special Sauce and Blonde Redhead are on stage right now. Pete and Jim haven't really heard of them.
6:19 Pete was irritated with his train ride because when he got on the car, it was full of Bob and Ron lookalikes all en route to Lollapalooza. They all looked like they had spent a day there already and had that cheesy, musty smell.
6:21 Speaking of disgusting, Steve went into his green room bathroom and someone had done something horrible in there. He couldn't even use it, it was a visual mess. His number one suspect is Matt Dahl, he would do something like that but never admit it.
6:22 Steve thinks he has to change the lock again. If Matt would just say it was him, Steve would feel a little better dealing with it because at least he has changed his diapers.
6:23 Today was Tom, WCKG's office manager's last day. He is going to work for B96, Steve noticed his attire has changed to fit in more at B96, he has been wearing tighter t-shirts. Steve felt bad Tom's last duty today was to call the building cleaning people to come and clean his green room bathroom.
6:25 Steve would complain to Drew about the green room bathroom but Drew thinks everything is a joke. Steve knows if it was Matt, he'll never get an apology. It was either him or something happened with someone that isn't normally here. Steve is thinking about taking DNA, he wouldn't personally use the popsicle sticks, he'll let the new office manager do that.
6:27

Even when Pete washes his hands in the green room and splashes a little water on the sink, he wipes that. Is Jim sure it wasn't him? Was he a little nervous about today's broadcast? Did his girlfriend make him collared greens last night?

6:29 Buzz uses the main bathroom and has never seen anything like that. Steve thinks that's the kind of arrogance only a family member would display.
6:35 Live read: U.S. Army
6:37 Back to Pete and Jim, Steve can hear Jill talking in the background, what is she doing? She is talking to Bob and Ron, maybe she is buying.
6:38 Jim ate some pizza there, Pete didn't, he has a goal to not eat pizza until opening day of the Bears season. What kind of life is he living? Buzz thinks it sounds like its getting worse. Pete has an all or nothing mentality when it comes to food.
6:40 Its not a fun way of life but he'll feel better about himself come November. Just in time to bundle up and put more clothes on.
6:41 The tent has run out of beer. What is that about? Isn't there supposed to be enough for the media? Its a good thing Buzz and Steve didn't go.
6:42 Steve thought Jill said he was going to be in the Lolla Lounge where there are massage tables and food. If he had gone and was in that tent Pete and Jim are in, they would've had to lock him up in jail.
6:44 Steve likes Jill but he thinks she is only concerned with her own amenities. They had a beach party meeting and she told him she knew he only wanted steak and lobster, that's not what Steve said, that's what Jill wanted.
6:46 Steve wants them to go get a beer. Jim is trying to calculate the distance to the tent with beer and Bob is laughing at him. Steve has listened to an hour of Bob and Ron talking and couldn't understand a word they said. Maybe they should just stay put, it seems to far away.
6:48 News with Buzz
6:49 The death toll of the bridge collapse in Minnesota is now at 5.
6:50 Laura Bush traveled to the bridge collapse site and called it shocking and unbelievable. That's how Steve sees her husband's presidential term.
6:51 Steve feels he broke the bridge ratings in Chicago story. He was looking at the list on the Tribune's website this morning and now its the lead story on the local news channels.
6:53 Iraqi soccer team, Lions of Mesopotamia, are arriving at the airport under tight security. Seven people have already been killed over celebrations from the team's victory.
6:56 Steve is cutting Pete and Jim loose. Matt and Brendan just arrived, as well as Jim's black girlfriend. Pete may head home and watch Monk, maybe eat his peach and nectarine on the train.
7:01 Steve is watching Metromix on CLTV and that Perry Farrell does seem effeminate. He is playing with his band now but it sounds like they are just playing Jane's Addiction songs.
7:02 Steve wants to know what Matt did in his green room bathroom earlier. Matt claims it was not him. What proof do we have? Brendan saw him come in and they left in a hurry to head over to Lollapalooza.
7:04 Steve kinda wishes it was Matt. He can't imagine who else it would be.
