EBCI am hiding in the basement from the book club that is going on upstairs. In all probability, I would be down here writing my blog no matter what, but for some reason it feels more like hiding today. What is it about girls that makes them want to have a book club? They run it just like a reading class (at least they do at my house). I hated school, and a book club is just school with a dinner and some wine squeezed into it to make it seem more appealing. I had plenty to eat and drink while I was in school, and I still hated it. Reading is for losers. Why else would we have both cable and satellite TV?

I haven’t worked out yet (as of 6:52 p.m. on Tuesday evening) and even though there’s a treadmill literally staring me in the face down here, I might try and skip it. I’m sick of working out. What I’d really like to do is have a pizza delivered to the back door of the basement. I guess I should work out if I'm going to do that. I am appearing on Chicago BooksTribune Live Wednesday evening with Pat “Peanut Butter” Boyle, and I’m sure I would feel a lot better if I worked out twice before the show. I can always catch a workout at the EBC tomorrow afternoon, too. Did I mention I’m sick of working out?

Chicago Tribune Live is on Comcast SportsNet at 5:30 p.m., so set your TiVo or whatever DVR you are using these days. Also, don’t forget that Wednesday morning on The Steve Dahl Show not only brings us the music of Tom Petty, but the sirloin stylings of Chef Hans from Smith and Wollensky, and the pothead ramblings of Bob and Ron’s Record Club. Bob and Ron are also professional dog walkers, so maybe we’ll try and do an Ask The Dog Walkers segment tomorrow too. We are really working hard to make the morning show on 104.3 FM a success, but it is an uphill battle. Don’t forget to tune us in, and as always, tell a friend if you can.
