Last year at this time the Bears had beaten the Seahawks and were on their way to beating the Saints and Super Bowl XLI. What a difference a year makes. I think they should call this year’s Super Bowl 2XL as a tribute to the big and tall men who not only play the game, but support it as well. They could run that all the way to 7XL, I think. I don’t think I’ve ever seen sizes bigger than 7XL in the big and tubby store. The best thing about being 2XL is that you are the anorexic on the big and tall scene. I have to say that even though most “straight” stores carry 2XL sizes these days, I still like to go to the big man’s store and show off my trim waistline. Of course, the 2XLT (tall) guys lord their height over us. It’s always something.
I still don’t understand what all the fuss about Tony Romo is about. By that, I mean the fuss about his personal life. I can understand why people think he’s a great football player, but people should give him a break on his personal life. He seems to score some very high-caliber trim and he can’t be blamed for wanting to go to “The One&Only Palmilla” in Cabo. It is the coolest resort I have ever eaten dinner at and then been bused back to my Apple resort from. What concerns me, however, is the fact that Tony lets Jessica’s parents come down there and mooch off of him. Jessica’s dad really gives me the creeps. If we were in France, he would give me the crepes. When Jessica’s dad is on the trip, you don’t need any sun block. You’re already being blocked to the maximum.
I don’t know if you have noticed, but JackFM is now featuring promos for the morning show during the rest of the programming day. It took a little while to get them, but I think it was worth the wait. Even I think they make us sound cool. You might have read in the paper last week that Buzz and I have gotten off to a pretty good start ratings-wise with our new JackFM morning show, and of course we have you, along with caffeine, and our alarm clocks, to thank for that. I love getting up early with nothing on my mind except coming downtown and doing a good show. It also frees me up to do stuff I’ve never done before in the afternoons. Friday, I went to the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority headquarters and got myself a new I-PASS transponder. I’m a huge fan of open-road tolling (2XL).
