Steve & MattIt’s Sunday morning, and it’s officially 0° where I live. It took me a few minutes to find the degree symbol on my keyboard, but now I have automated it and every time I press Command+1, I get °, so I’m set for the cold weather reporting. I have left the house one time since Friday afternoon, and that was for a drive-around. I never got out of the car. I did crack the window a little and determined I didn’t even want to do a drive-thru. I love looking at the thermometer and seeing how cold it is, though. Just as long as I’m indoors.

The dogs seem to love being outside in the cold, but according to the Channel 5 News, I shouldn’t leave them out for more than 10 minutes without the proper dog booties. Since I don’t have any dog booties, I am keeping a close eye on them. Picking up poop is so easy when it’s this cold. I think it might actually be frozen before it even hits the ground.
They are like Poopsicles™ (sans the stick). Okay, now I’m getting a little carried away with the inserting of the symbols.

Mike and Matt are coming out to watch the playoff games today, and they are bringing their girlfriends. Matt wanted to bring his dog, Walter, but I was able to prevail upon him to not do GDCthat. I guess he doesn’t have booties either. Janet is in Florida, so he doesn’t have her to lean on me to allow Matt’s dog visitation. Don’t ever be one of those people who bring their dogs everywhere. I thought I instilled that in my kids, but apparently they weren’t listening. Janet’s sister, Jenny, is a big dog bringer.

We will be live and on the air on Monday morning. What better tribute to MLK could there be than forcing white people to work? Buzz and I will also be showing up on Good Day Chicago on Fox 32. I guess they’ll be doing live cut-ins throughout the course of the morning. We’ll also have Pat Boyle on to analyze the NFL playoff games, and talk about those two great Blackhawks victories over the weekend. It was sort of irritating to watch one hundred and forty minutes of tied hockey, but don’t you just ♥ those shootouts?
