HawksWhat a crazy week it’s been. On Monday we couldn’t get an uplink for our scheduled appearance on Channel 32’s Good Day Chicago, Tuesday was unmemorable (at least to me), you ALL know by now what happened on Wednesday, and Thursday had its weirder moments as too. I could sure use some NFL football to relax my little pea brain over the weekend, but of course that’s not going to happen. The Super Bowl can’t get here fast enough or me. I love Tom Petty in concert. I mean, who doesn’t?

It’s Thursday night, and I am heading over to United Center to catch the last home game the Hawks will have for almost three weeks. Now that I know that the Bulls are only one game out of the NBA Playoffs, I might have to start paying attention to them too. I’m looking forward to basketball and hockey, and that’s unusual for me. Ben Gay has not made an appearance yet this week, and I’m hoping he stops by on Friday morning. He likes to dribble and then get the puck out of there. He’s always trying to show me his “blue line” too.

GH 2I am starting to really enjoy the cold temperatures that we have been posting this winter. It makes me feel less guilty about having a gas-guzzling SUV to rationalize the fact that Global Warming can’t be happening because it’s so cold. I’m sure that opinion has no basis in science, but I’m a DJ, I can think whatever stupid thing I want. All I know is that a remote starter for my car, along with my Blackhawks tickets, would make winter almost a perfect thing for me at this point. Throw in a little snow shoveling and blowing and it’s a hat trick.

I might try and check out Guitar Hero and Rock Band at a bar somewhere this weekend. Both video games sound like air guitar on acid. I don’t really want to participate or perform, I just want to see it action. I’m very content to watch others make fools of themselves while I sip a frosty Shirley Temple. There is a part of me that wants to see if I can load Dahlfins songs to either of them and replace my skilled band of musicians (The Nadas) for a bunch of people who will play for drinks. Oh, wait! The Nadas pretty much already do that.
