How about that Drew Peterson walking off of the Fox News Channel on Friday. How about that beard? He doesn’t need any help getting fixed up with a look like that. Just ask Buzz, he’s always had all of the ladies he could handle with that beard of his. I have been working the beard look myself during the recent cold snap. I like feeling and looking like Grizzly Adams when it’s wintery. I finally couldn’t stand the itching on Saturday afternoon and had to shave. The dogs didn’t even recognize me after I did and barked at me in my own damn house. I don’t want to say that the beard was coming in nicely, but I was an Old Navy hoodie away from stealing Drew’s look.
I ran outside both Saturday and Sunday and it was nice to be outside and get some fresh air. It was especially nice on Sunday because the sun was shining so brightly. It was so bright that I just closed my eyes and ran right into it. Saturday I ran sans heart rate monitor because I either left it downtown at the club, or I lost it. One of the pouches on my Nike bag was unzipped. I really like having the heart rate monitor (Polar F6) because it keeps you working hard, but not too hard and calculates the calories that you’ve burned. It’s like having a personal trainer sitting right on your wrist. It’s just a great way to feel like you’ve actually accomplished what you set out to do.
I’m going to try and check out the NHL All Star game on Sunday night, but I don’t get Versus in HD, and although I’m enjoying being a Blackhawks fan, I’m not sure I am well versed (pun intended) enough in NHL knowledge to make it enjoyable. I for sure will be watching Breaking Bad on AMC at 9:00 on Sunday night. It stars Bryan Cranston, the dad on Malcolm in the Middle, as a high school chemistry teacher turned meth cooker. What can I say? I love shows about meth. I learned to love tweakers on Cops, and I learned to love wacky cookers in the movie Spun with Mickey O’Rourke. Meth stories are cool and exciting, but there’s nothing about it that makes me want to take it. Well, almost nothing.
