Late in the show on Thursday, the fine people from Market Day dropped off some goodies for us. Sure, there were breakfast bundles, which is a sausage link on a stick dipped in pancake batter. It’s like a breakfast corn dog, and it’s good, but not that good for my diet, so Buzz and I had the Apple Berry Breakfast Bowl. It’s only 200 calories with two grams of fat, and it was tasty as hell. It also has 28% of your daily fiber, so that made me concerned about my Pilates workout. I have never “embarrassed myself” during Pilates and I don’t intend to start now. As it turns out, I had to skip Pilates and put my Pilate pants away until next week.
I had to cancel my Pilates session and postpone my Thai massage (I love it when I give myself a spa day) because my furnace went out this morning. After waiting all day in vain for my regular furnace guys to show up, I finally decided to go with another company. They are also local, and seem to be fans of the show (one of them regularly emails me at steve@dahl.com). They got to the house right away, and the service guy even had a good Drew Peterson at Buffalo Wild Wings sighting story. As usual, it was the igniter, but now we’re all set and on a yearly maintenance program. I think I can still make my massage too.
FYI: I was right about those Apple Berry Breakfast Bowls. I think that 28% of my daily recommended fiber intake is more than I usually get. I know that borders on (or has crossed over into) too much information (TMI), but it’s very rare for me to have a breakfast miscarriage. Everything happens for a reason. Didn’t Coach Ditka say something to that effect? I know he said, “This too shall pass.” and he couldn’t have been more right about that. So I’m off to my massage where I will daydream about the sweet flamethrower I ordered today for snow and dog doo removal. It will be at my house in two days. Look for me on the news.
