Thanks to everyone who came out to the show at Riva on St. Patrick’s Day. The people at Riva from Joe, the manager to Luigi the chef did an incredible job of putting on a fun and tasty St. Patrick’s Day bash. For an Hispanic Chef, Luigi really knows his way around a corned beef brisket. Also, thanks to Budweiser for the green beer and all of their support over the years. Even though I’m now a designated driver for life, it’s still fun to be able to host a party like we had today, and to see people having fun and knocking back some corned beef and a few brews. I was really blown away by the response. The place was already packed at 5:00 am.
It’s also very nice to see that Drew Peterson is getting his Denali back. He has been looking less than cool with that blue minivan in his driveway since last November. I assume it was a rental and with the kids maybe that was all that the people at Enterprise could scrape up for him, but the minivan is not a good look for a man about town like Drew Peterson. I hope he doesn’t roll up on Gibson’s in that thing. A minivan might get the job done at Tailgaters in Bolingbrook, but you valet a minivan at Gibson’s and you never see it again. They drive it right into the river for you. That, my friend, is Gibson's doing you a favor.
Good to see that seniors now get to ride for free on a mass transit system that is hurtling headlong into bankruptcy. They were already getting rides for 50% off and they all seemed more than fine with that. Seniors are not a shy bunch and they have A.A.R.P. doing their dirty work for them. I keep getting unsolicited mail from A.A.R.P. to join up. I’m only 53, and I don’t appreciate getting junk mail like that. I like getting Victoria’s Secret, Allen Brothers and Frontgate catalogues in the mail. Not a catalog that reminds me that it won’t be too long before I have to take Viagra, and not just for a joke. I haven’t done that yet, I’m just saying.
