Hawks Win!I hope you had a Happy Easter, if you believe in that sort of thing. I’m a Christian I suppose, and usually I’m involved in some sort of family Easter celebration, but this year we all seemed to have different things to do. Janet is in Europe on vacation, Pat Dahl was in Salt Lake City, Mike Dahl had to go to his girlfriend’s parents' house and Matt Dahl started his new job as a waiter at Muvico. That left me at the Blackhawks game with our own Brendan Greeley. Brendan and I saw one whale of a hockey game and now the Hawks are only 4 points out of the 8th playoff spot in the Western Conference in the NHL.

I did have plans to visit my parents and brother in Los Angeles this weekend, but I bagged them on Friday because I didn’t feel like dealing with the weather. Of course, my flight was the last flight to get out on Friday and my return flight came in without a problem too. I will go see my parents soon, and I think they were okay with that. My plan was a little half-baked, MMMMMwhat with me arriving Friday evening and leaving Easter Sunday at noon. Luckily, I have by back-up plan, which was a 7-pound HoneyBaked Ham® that my “people” got for me. I must say that Mable, Millie, and I have been enjoying it all weekend.

Even though it was a little chilly, I did manage to get a couple of one-hour runs in this weekend, and with the sun shining, it was a wonderful thing. I think we are all really ready for spring. I also think that my running is just barely keeping up with my consumption of food, but at least I’m making an effort. That ham is just so darned good, and I might have had two bratwursts at the hockey game. So did Brendan. Why isn’t he fat? The one thing about eating ham that I don’t find enjoyable is the fact that it really makes you thirsty. I have been drinking more water than a nun with a bladder infection. Now that’s a lovely Easter image.
