I’m hoping I can help launch his talk radio career. Not that he hasn’t always been a talker, but with no music format to hamper him.
I’ve sort of had Fred on my mind, just in case Buzz didn’t sign his contract. Buzz thought he saw Garry Meier in the WCKG hallway a few weeks ago, and signed a three-year deal right away. Turns out it wasn’t Garry in the hallway with me, but our General Manager, Terry Hardin. Terry looks like Garry Meier before the automobile accident. Gary hasn’t really had an accident.
If you didn’t get the chance to hear Shawn Mullins on the show on Thursday, check out the podcast. I think that the interview went really well, and Shawn had a few funny stories about the Dahl boys at Wednesday’s Sox game, among other things. Shawn was even gracious enough to let us podcast his performance, so you can hear the interview and all three songs that he did. Shawn really is one of my favorite singer/songwriters.
I know that it’s opening day today (Friday) at Walter E. Smithe Stadium (formerly Wrigley field), and I think it’s supposed to rain. I hope that’s not an omen. Hell, the Sox lost two to the Indians, so nobody really has any right to brag at this point. I’ve posted my favorite new movie poster with Woody and Prior. I think they threw their arms out in Phoenix eating grande wet burritos. Or was it dipping tortilla chips into some extra thick guacamole?
