This afternoon when I got home there was a voice mail from Jim Oberweis on my machine. It was in reference to this two minute “hunk” from Wednesday’s show:
6:26 |
Whenever Steve is eating a pastry he actually prefers to drink water and not milk. When you're drinking water it feels a little healthier. Steve likes a nice cold glass of milk though but not with a donut or a Danish. |
6:27 |
Steve got his Oberweis order yesterday. They don't get the glass bottles because they're not handy. Once again they were missing something in Steve's order. |
6:28 |
That Jim Oberweis needs to forget about running for office and focus more on his dairy. How can they not have coffee? All he gets in his order is a note that says "Sorry" |
As it turns out, and as Jim went on to explain, they do have coffee, but they don’t have CINNAMON coffee, since it’s a seasonal item. CINNAMON coffee! Who orders CINNAMON coffee? Then I remembered that that’s the kind of crap my wife likes to drink. She also puts milk and sugar in her coffee. I always say, “Why not just drop a NoDoz into a cup of hot chocolate?” I hate CINNAMON coffee. I have been wondering why our coffee tastes funny. Janet says it only makes it smell like cinnamon. That can’t be true. I like COFFEE coffee. Why do girls always want to fancy it up when they water it down with dairy products and sweeteners anyway?
I would like to send out my apologies to Jim, all of his cows, and the entire Oberweis family. I had no idea that we were still attempting to get a seasonal coffee delivered to our house out of season. I’m guessing the cinnamon coffee season must be Christmas or winter or something along those lines. I like Jim Oberweis. In fact, I would vote for Jim if I lived in St. Charles. I was just kidding (JK as the kids say) about all of that. On a positive note: I like the fresh Natalie's Orchid Island orange juice that they sell at Oberweis and just this week we started getting fresh grapefruit juice from Natalie’s too. I think the grapefruit juice is seasonal. I hope that season never ends.
