In case you missed it, Thursday morning brought Drew Peterson into the Steve Dahl Show studio. I don’t mean it was me talking like Drew. It was the actual living breathing Drew Peterson along with his trusty sidekick, Joel Brodsky (Freckle Face Grape). They were in between TV appearances so they decided to come up to the studios in the Prudential Building. I’m not sure how they even got up there, but we have security in the lobby and you need a pass to make the elevators work, so someone somewhere must have let them in. All I know is that Drew and Joel ended up in my Green Room and then in the main studio with Buzz and me.

I tired my best to get Drew and Joel to settle down in front of a couple of our luxury microphones, but they were circling the studio like hawks (sharks). Drew whipped out his American flag bandana and signed it for me. That was weird, but now I have his bandana and a T-shirt of his. I am a pair of pants and some Frye boots away from having a complete Drew Peterson Halloween costume. I’m not even sure of all of the details of the encounter, since it was so surreal, but we are planning on playing it back tomorrow (Friday) morning between 6:30 and 7:30. Tune in and check it out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I do recall that I got to do my Drew voice to Drew, so that was unusual.

Drew apparently is not going to get to check out Jimmy Buffett this time around. I asked him if he was going, and then he looked at me like I was crazy. It’s funny to me that even Drew Peterson thinks that I’m crazy. Then I realized that Drew never said he was a Parrothead, I am the one that said he was a Parrothead. I just made it up because of that picture that they always run of Drew and Stacy in the paper and on TV. It’s the one where Drew has the sweet Aloha shirt on. It always looks to me like they are getting ready to go to a Buffett concert, but I guess it could just be a regular old buffet too. I’m sure that there’s an Old Country Buffet in Bolingbrook. I hear Drew is a big fan of all you can eat.
