Steve’s got the news from his doctor, and it was largely good news. They’re going to keep an eye on him, with a check-up scheduled in six months. He and Janet had a lovely lunch at an old haunt, The Wolfs Head [sic], a place of significant local lore that’s shutting its doors just shy of its 100-year anniversary. Brendan shopped for bread and potatoes at his local Jewel, while an alarm blared away in the store. He then had a chance to put his potato masher (a Christmas gift) to use.
